We can supply a wide range of CRT PC computer monitors and flat
screen LCD screens from our shop in Belfast, Northern Ireland or by
mail-order across the UK! Computer monitors are generally available in three styles- Cathode
Ray Tube (CRT) monitors or LCD Flat Panel Monitors or TFT-LCD Monitor.
CRT Monitor
This is usually the cheapest type of monitor available. Within the monitor
case, the display is created with a flat/funnel shaped tube. Images on
a CRT monitor are projected through pixels.
LCD Monitor
LCD, also known as Liquid Crystal Display are becoming more and more common
place both in the home and the office.
Based on a liquid solution that exists between two panes of glass, images
are created by the movement of light that penetrates through an electrical
voltage.
In recent years, there has been an increase in the demand for flat panel
monitors that are much more compact that the ordinary CRT monitor.
TFT-LCD Monitor
Thin Film Transistor monitors, or TFT-LCD monitors are, because of their
sharpness, becoming the new standard in computer monitors.
